Hot job leadsHi, I received, third-hand, the following description of a job announcement for Northwoods Software. Also, there is a second job in support. See the contact info and also their website for details. "I am ... suddenly short a resource or two for my project that starts development this week. We are trying to hire a good developer ASAP. Do you know anyone that is good at designing web applications and/or web sties? This is a GREAT place to work… small, (40 people), good benefits, very flexible and little to no “management” watching over you. The PM and Tech Lead take charge and ask for guidance if they want it. Everyone is so nice and great at what they do, so their products are great too. They have their own content management system they use for web sites for Milw Medical College, schools, universities, Briggs and Stratton, etc… _www.northwoodsoft.com_ Everyone has their own huge office, people bring in their dogs, couches, etc. wear shorts and flip flops or jeans and sneakers and t-shirts except for someone that has to go see a client, which are only the Tech Leads most of the time and then we’re business casual. I just don’t know anyone with these skills unfortunately. *Leigh S. Maxon* (414) 365–3038 x 223 _Leigh.maxon@northwoodsoft.com_ " . Since it might be premature for me to apply, I thought I'd share. School has kept me busy in late Winter and Spring. I look forward to attending Web414 meetings this summer. In case anyone else comes across leads, I'm looking for part-time work in programming--web or otherwise--that I can start this summer and continue doing while I complete my Master's in Computer Science. Practically, I'll consider many options. Ideally, my interests tend toward civic, charitable, activist, or possibly political projects, but the kind of statistical, "wisdom of crowds" area that captivates me most also has applications in marketing, opinion polling, and decision-support systems in business. ~Tom
