Looking for a PHP/MySQL ProgrammerLiturgical Publications Inc. is seeking a Web Developer to join our talented team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented, passionate and experienced web developer to creatively use their skills with emerging web technologies and apply their knowledge of the latest industry trends to drive innovation within LPi and with our clients. Job Responsibilities · Plan, develop and maintain custom web applications, data-driven web pages, and implement new site features and services · Build content management system add-ons and perform CMS customizations · Produce functional and well documented code · Troubleshoot, track and fix bugs · Provide performance tuning and optimizations · Perform cross browser and cross platform testing · Maintain current and legacy applications and pages · Brainstorm as part of the Interactive Media team on new ideas and future trends · Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with other team members · Research new standards, approaches and methodologies in Web Development and Web Technologies Requirements · Deep experience in PHP, MySQL, HTML, XML, XHTML and Javascript/AJAX in a LAMP environment · Be passionate about writing web applications that work across all browsers and operating systems · Experience using and developing for content management systems like Joomla, WordPress, or Drupal · Has up-to-date knowledge of best practices in web and coding standards · A strong desire to constantly expand their technical skills and keep up with emerging technologies and trends · Experience using and developing for ecommerce systems is a plus · Experience developing mobile site apps or iPhone apps is a plus · Solid analytical and problem solving skills who can be resourceful and creative · Good communication and organizational skills · Ability to work quickly, multi-task and maintain strong attention to detail · Ability self manage effectively, as well as collaborate in an adaptive, creative team environment LPi is a stable, growing company with good people, products, processes and facilities.
