Web608 Kickoff Meeting

On May 11th Geeks from all over the 608 region will flock to Madison for the web technology groups premier meeting.

Topics:
Christian Wilcox will be a demonstrate Google's recently released App Engine. While currently only supporting Python, App Engine is a free fully integrated application environment built on Google robust distributed infrastructure. We may even see Django in action.

Jonathan Yankovich will show us how to keep paperwork from bogged you down with an intro to Getting Things Done (GTD) and project management techniques.

Andrew Shell recently attended Startup School in San Francisco. He will give us a recount of the event before we discuss Startup Weekend Madison.

We will also cover the current state of BarCampMadison2 and the possibility of starting a coworking location in Madison.

The "Better Late then Never" Web608 Meeting

Final Cut Pro Presentation

Final Cut Pro is able to edit film, TV, documentaries, graphics, animation and surround sound. CNN and cable news networks use Final Cut Pro exclusively, as well as major motion picture companies.

Daniel Hirsh was born and raised in Milwaukee and has worked on TV and motion picture filming and editing. He is the owner of Experimental Video Services and also works as a multimedia specialist for Stompernet in Atlanta, GA.
